Singapore, 1 July 2009 – Gone are the days where hours are spent online surfing through countless travel websites to find the hotel room with the best price, or deal.
UrgentRoom promises to do all that searching for you for free ! Users can now log onto one integrated website www.urgentroom.com to make bookings for all room books across the borders. This reduces the need to toggle between websites and provides the convenience of a single- point booking.
This means pulling together many websites and accessing thousands of room rates at one go, rendering it ideal for comparing products across sites and validating prices seamlessly.
The consolidation assures a higher level of convenience, service and choices for travelers who can enjoy more flexibility when searching and booking hotel rooms. It works even better if you are in hurry, as it loads very fast and does not put in loads of content. Simply, it has no landing advertising which is often distracting when all you want is a room.
With immediate effect, the one-stop shop will operate on a 7-day a week, 24-hour basis to provide around-the-clock search and book service to customers. It focuses on getting a room in a hurry, without the assistance of travel agents on the ground.
This service was borne out of sheer frustration from secretaries and travel bookers who often had to scramble when bosses or executives need to travel at an instant; or when someone forgets to book a room and is ready to go. “This happens to us a lot.” lamented Stephanie Chai, executive secretary of a listed company in Singapore. “All too often I find myself going through my bookmarks of over 10 websites just to find a room. So having UrgentRoom is a godsend to us bookers as it dramatically cuts down our time searching and finding the rooms needed. We are all excited about this perfect solution in a box ! ”
Stephanie was one of the team members who sought the help of Bruce Tan, a travel industry professional of over 17 years, to innovate the search portal. Bruce worked with numerous secretaries in the past due to his extensive corporate travel experience and the requests were difficult to achieve until he found out about metasearch technology.
According to Bruce, "The question I get most often is, ‘Is the room confirmed?' My job then was to pursue the hotel consolidators on the phone to get the confirmation number. All the calling and chasing could be avoided if we planned ahead of time, but we know this seldom happens to clients whose nature of their job was urgent – bankers, financiers, seamen, oil and gas crew, lawyers, even specialist technicians.”
UrgentRoom is a free service and is not a travel agent. It is an effective search site and it sends the user to the relevant booking site to book the rooms when it is selected. All subsequent arrangements and service requests are carried out
effortlessly with the booking partner site
